Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress is a bigger event every year. This time Alcatel-Lucent is amongst the best and the brightest.  Great show of confidence, new motto “at the speed of ideas”, new message and a winning mood.

Our showing of lightRadio™ is one of the highlights of the exhibition. I am very impressed with the buzz around social networking and its impact. Clearly, what happened in Tunisia and Egypt has inspired. People start to understand that technology is just the start, it is the “what to do with it” that makes it so remarkable.

The need to get broadband worldwide (as a tool for development) implemented is undisputable on the top agenda. Without it, societies will lose out.

Barcelona is good for sharpening the mind: it is a very competitive environment out there. But Alcatel-Lucent is fully back into it and our team here shows commitment, passion and belief.

Really impressive to watch!
