Alcatel-Lucent joins the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index 2009

Carbon Disclosure Project

The Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) recognized Alcatel-Lucent as one of the 20 French leading companies in terms of transparency and communication on their climate impact.

This index is a ranking applied to companies responding to the Investors Carbon Disclosure Project questionnaire. The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an independent not-for-profit organization holding the largest database of corporate climate change information in the world. 2,500 organizations in some 60 countries measure and disclose their greenhouse gas emissions and climate change strategies through the CDP.

Alcatel-Lucent was given the mark 69 out of 100, for its transparency and communication related to its climate impact. The average mark given to the 76 French companies that participated in the Carbon Disclosure Project is 54 out of 100.
