Alcatel-Lucent IMS: the green choice makes economic sense
By Shauna MacNeil, IMS Core Products
The TDM based infrastructure prevalent today consumes a significant amount of electricity and space – and the associated impact on carriers Opex budgets. This electricity and space also have an environmental impact – in the US alone that impact is equivalent to 300,000 cars.
What if there was a solution that could improve the eco-efficiency, by over 90%, but also add new opportunities for revenue and greener lifestyle choices?
In our recent Whitepaper “Alcatel-Lucent IMS: The Green Choice Makes Economic Sense” we examine the impact of the existing TDM infrastructure, the improvement in eco-efficiency offered by IMS and the history of innovation at Alcatel-Lucent that has allowed us to continually improve our IMS solution.
